By using knittingchart.com (“Knitting Chart”, “we”) you agree to these terms.
The service
Knitting Chart offers free browser-based tools for making knitting charts, and an optional paid plan, Knitting Chart Pro. The tools are provided as they are. We work to keep them correct and available, but we cannot guarantee that they are free of errors or always online. Check a chart’s stitch counts before you start a large project.
Your charts
Charts and files you create are yours. You may use them for any purpose, including selling patterns you designed. Without Pro, charts are stored only in your browser, so you are responsible for keeping copies of the ones you want to keep (use “Save file” or download a PDF). With Pro, they are also stored in your account; see below.
Pictures you convert
Only convert pictures you have the right to use. Turning someone else’s photo, artwork or logo into a chart does not give you rights to it; if you plan to sell or publish the result, make sure you have permission.
Accounts
You need an account only for Pro. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address, so keep access to that mailbox secure. An account is for one person; do not share it. You can delete your account at any time on the account page.
Knitting Chart Pro
What it includes. Saving charts to your account, opening and editing them on all your devices, and selection tools (select, copy, cut, paste and flip part of a chart), as described on the pricing page.
Prices and payment. Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars and include sales tax or VAT; the payment page may show them in your currency. Payments are processed by Stripe, and some purchases are sold through Link, Stripe’s payment service, as the seller of record; your receipt shows who sold the purchase. We never see your card details.
How long it lasts. A 1-month plan lasts 30 days and a 1-year plan 365 days from payment. Neither renews: no further payment is ever taken. If you buy more time while Pro is active, it is added to the end of your current plan. A lifetime plan lasts for as long as we offer Knitting Chart Pro. If we ever stop offering it, we will tell lifetime customers by email at least 60 days before, and you will still be able to download every chart saved in your account.
When Pro ends. We keep the charts saved in your account, and you can download them to any device you sign in on. Saving new changes to your account and the selection tools need Pro again.
Refunds. Every Pro purchase can be refunded in full within 14 days. See the refund policy.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- try to disrupt the site, get around Pro’s payment, or access other people’s accounts or data;
- overload the site with automated requests, or copy its content or code in bulk;
- share, resell or transfer your account or Pro;
- store or share anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to use.
If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account. If we close it because of a serious or repeated breach, unused Pro time is not refunded. In other cases, we will tell you why and give you the chance to download your charts first.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the site, such as yarn or time spent on a project. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Changes do not take away Pro time you have already paid for.
